The unwritten guidelines get written

…when somebody decides to selfishly push.

There’s an assumption of civility and equity in all of our interactions. When a harsh competitor unilaterally breaks unwritten guidelines (as a result of it’s “not technically in opposition to the principles”) the neighborhood then writes down a brand new rule.

One of the simplest ways for a market to be a free market is for the members to train self-restraint.

The second finest means is for clear and helpful guidelines to be acknowledged and enforced.

What doesn’t work are unwritten guidelines which are usually damaged by egocentric bullies.
