The 2023 account merry-go-round has emerged with a vengeance (not earlier than time some long-=struggling readers may assume) and now Halifax has joined in with the account shifting again to adam&eveDDB after departing to New Business arts, the company shaped by former A&E duo James Murphy and David Golding, in 2020.

NCA is believed to have resigned the enterprise, owned by Lloyds Banking Group. NCA was unavailable for remark. Halifax is nice information for A&E, which handles the Lloyds Checking account too, as this week flagship account John Lewis Partnership determined to overview John Lewis and Waitrose with A&E declining a repitch.

In the meantime Nationwide, the UK’s greatest constructing society and one well-known through the years for a few of its promoting, is departing VCCP with New Business Arts anticipated to be one of many companies pitching. Nationwide’s new advertising boss is Catherine Kehoe, who helmed Lloyds’ advertising operations for a few years and appointed NCA to Halifax again in 2020.

NCA can also be more likely to be a contender for Sainsbury’s – it handles Tu and Habitat – which is leaving Wieden+Kennedy. Others are more likely to be Ogilvy, which handles some Sainsbury’s work, and A&E, now available in the market for an additional retailer/grocery store.

Senior London advert execs say they’ve by no means seen so many huge pitches come alongside without delay. Who’s subsequent?
